1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how NextWave s.r.o. ("Controller") processes the personal data of users of the RentAudit web platform available at rentaudit.cz ("Platform"). The Controller acts in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Act No. 110/2019 Coll., on the Processing of Personal Data.
2. What personal data we process
In providing the Service, we process the following categories of personal data:
- Identification and contact details: first and last name, email address, phone number
- Address details: address of the rented property
- Contractual documents: lease agreement and annual utility billing statement uploaded by the user
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device information, cookies
3. Purpose and legal basis of processing
We process personal data on the basis of the following legal grounds:
- Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): processing is necessary to provide the billing review service and any subsequent recovery of overpayments.
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): ensuring platform security and fraud prevention.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): for sending marketing communications, where the user has requested them.
4. How long we retain data
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose of processing:
- For the duration of the contractual relationship and provision of the Service.
- For 3 years after termination of the contractual relationship, for the purposes of any potential legal claims.
- Uploaded documents (lease agreement, billing statement) are securely deleted after the case is closed, no later than 12 months after the review is completed.
5. Who we share data with
We do not sell or share personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data may be shared with:
- Cooperating lawyers: solely to the extent necessary for the legal recovery of an overpayment, based on a power of attorney granted by the client.
- Technical processors: cloud hosting and database service providers (Lovable), who are bound by a data processing agreement.
- Public authorities: where required by law.
6. Transfers outside the EEA
We process personal data primarily within the European Economic Area. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (standard contractual clauses under the GDPR).
7. Your rights
As a data subject, you have the following rights:
- Right of access to personal data (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Right to withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority — the Office for Personal Data Protection (www.uoou.cz), Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Prague 7, Czech Republic.
8. Security of personal data
We have implemented technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or destruction. Uploaded documents are stored in encrypted cloud storage with restricted access.
9. Cookies
The Platform uses technical cookies necessary for the proper functioning of the website. Analytical or marketing cookies are used only with your consent. You may withdraw your cookie consent at any time in your browser settings.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will inform you of material changes by email or by a notice on the Platform. The current version is always available at rentaudit.cz.
